 Grigory works on the development and application of time-dependent density-functional theory. Currently, he is working on developing imaginary-time time-dependent density-functional theory in conjunction with path-integral technique as a means of going beyond Born-Oppenheimer approximation to the complete electron-ionic ground state. This allows to elucidate the properties of materials at low temperatures, materials containing light atoms such as hydrogen and other interesting phenomena.
