Cedric Flamant

Ph.D 2020

Cedric earned his Ph.D in physics in 2020 studying methods development in density functional theory. His research examines applications of time-dependent density functional theory to aid in excitonic simulations, as well as an extension of TDDFT using ring-polymer imaginary-time path integrals to capture the contributions of nuclear zero-point motion to systems simulated in DFT. Recently, he also investigated the use of imaginary-time propagation in TDDFT to find ground states of systems that are difficult to converge with SCF.
