Danny is interested in the electromechanical properties of two-dimensional materials. Specfically, he is interested in ferroelectricity, the switching of electric fields in a material, which are used in transistors and memory applications. He is also interested in moire materials, where an interference pattern forms by stacking layers with different twist angles. Moire materials can result in unconventional ferroelectric properties as well as the formation of topologically nontrivial polarization textures.

Danny started on the faculty at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore (NTU) in Fall 2025.
