Mattia's research is centered around the numerical simulation of complex systems using mathematical modeling, first-principle methods and machine learning algorithms.  His recent research interests encompass the development and implementation of methods to study two dimensional materials, epidemics and chaotic systems. Mattia holds a PhD in Numerical and Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics from SISSA, Italy.
