Michele conducts research in condensed matter theory, with a strong emphasis on the electronic structure, disorder, and magnetism in two-dimensional materials. Michele holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Milan.
